What to expect:

Contact me to schedule an appointment. Upon scheduling a consultation, I will send you an intake form to collect medical and social history and learn about your story so I can be ready to best serve you during our visit.

We meet at your home or virtually*. During your consult (with consent) I will: assess your latch and do a weighted feed, conduct a physical assessment of baby (especially oral assessment), and a physical assessment of your breast/chest. We will talk through all your concerns, questions and goals and formulate a plan together.

After your initial visit, a care plan will be sent to you. Depending on your needs and the care plan, I may recommend follow up consult(s). Referrals to additional supportive providers will be made as needed. Follow up email and phone access for questions and concerns related to the consultation is provided.

*Virtual Visits:

Virtual visits take place using a secure digital platform. The same process will be followed for virtual visits as is stated above, with the limitation that no physical assessment will be completed and we will be unable to do a weighted feed. Latch will be assessed visually and a care plan will be formulated through discussion and clinical recommendations.

“I started working with Katy while still pregnant and continued with home visits after my daughters birth. Each meeting/phone call was extremely helpful and was followed by a very detailed email outlining our visit (very needed for the newborn mom brain). She made me feel strong and supported through supplementing, pumping and now exclusively breastfeeding. She was attentive, knowledgeable, and warm. So thankful for all her help!”
